The Law Society Excellence Awards – Business Development and Marketing
TPP Law was presented with the Highly Commended Award for Excellence in Business Development and Marketing at the Law Society's annual Excellence Awards. The award was presented by BBC News presenter Mishal Husain at a ceremony in London’s Old Billingsgate on 21 October.
TPP law devised an innovative digital and printed media campaign to excite interest, create a buzz and develop relationships in its core markets following the general election and subsequent coalition agreement. The campaign involved the design and publication of a series of content-rich special reports on public services topics to act as lead generation tools and stimulate media interest.
The judging panel, which included leading law firm strategist Nick Jarrett-Kerr and communications expert Liz Whitaker said of TPP Law's entry: "TPP Law's campaign showed a lot of thought and effort. It demonstrates how a firm can move very fast to take advantage of an opportunity. They have absolutely made the link between input and outcome with fantastic results. The firm knows its market segment and position within it and has carved out a real niche."
TPP Law's MD Mark Johnson said, "We are thrilled to have been recognised by the Law Society for our work in advising on innovative public service contracts. The new Coalition Government's programme of public service reform has provided the firm and our clients with many new opportunities. Winning this award was a team effort between our in-house team and our friends at marketing agency Size 10½ Boots and the communications team at Kysen PR."
The Lawyer Awards – Niche Law Firm of the Year
TPP Law scooped a runner up position for “Niche Law Firm of the Year” in the 2009 Lawyer Awards announced at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 23 June. The awards celebrating achievement in the legal sector were presented by host Michael McIntyre. Mark Johnson, Managing Director, commented, “Awards like this are testament to the commitment and devotion of our staff to help build better partnerships and contracts for public services”.
The Law Society Excellence Awards – Excellence in Practice Management
We won the prestigious award for excellence in practice management standards in 2008. The award was presented at the Law Society awards ceremony in London on Thursday by Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark.
We beat off competition from 6 other shortlisted firms nationally to win the top prize open to firms who have achieved the Lexcel quality standard.
The judges commented “TPPlaw really put the mantra 'employees are a business's most important asset' at the heart of everything they do. The judges felt their commitment to personnel management in particular was far beyond a mere tick in a box – adopting Lexcel only just after the firm was created, and upgrading to Lexcel Version 4 when it was only optional to do so. The firm is also unique in one other way in this evening's awards. The testimonials in their entry included one from a client who said that the firm were so good, they said they actually enjoyed paying the bills!”
