Trainee Solicitor

Nicola joined the team at TPP Law in October 2008 and is keen to apply her skills and knowledge in the context of Public Private Partnerships and Private Finance Initiatives. She is responsible for undertaking research tasks on behalf of clients and drafting and amending legal documents and attending client meetings to assist directors and assistant solicitors where necessary.

She is engaged in support activities on a number of major School and Academy projects. She is currently assisting on two major BSF projects for the local authorities of Ealing and Lambeth as they go through the competitive dialogue process to procure their Local Education Partnerships. She is also assisting with advice to a bidder in connection with the Hartlepool BSF programme and advice to schools on wave 4 of the Kent BSF programme.

Nicola’s previous work includes assisting with the preparation of documents for a variation to an ICT connected learning contract for the London Borough of Lambeth. She has also advised on employment issues related to a TUPE transfer for a social care service provider.

Nicola graduated from the College of Law in summer 2008 having completed both the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. Previously Nicola completed an MA Business Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University and a BA (Hons) English Literature at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Nicola has previously worked for a number of years in education and has a particular interest in the schools sector.
