James joined the team at TPP Law Limited in 2006 and is keen to apply his skills and knowledge in the context of Public Private Partnerships and Private Finance Initiatives.

James has an interest in public procurement and provides advice on issues such as competitive dialogue, thresholds, the Alcatel Standstill provisions and other matters arising under the Public Contract Regulations.

He has been working on two Building Schools for the Future schemes. He is currently helping to establish Local Education Partnerships at the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Ealing which will deliver investment of £200m and £250m respectively into the secondary school estate.

He has been assisting with the establishment of trusts to operate leisure facilities at South Northamptonshire, Maidstone, Redbridge, Market Harborough and Hambleton and preparing the contract documentation to allow the new arrangements to operate.

James has also been helping with the re-arrangement of leisure provision which is part of an existing outsourcing agreement, due to the replacement and improvement of facilities.

James has established academies in Nottingham and in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Both projects brought three schools together into one academy, and are sponsored by a successful school which has become part of the academy itself.

In 2008, James assisted with the establishment of a new PFI special school with Northamptonshire County Council, which involved a variation to the largest existing grouped schools PFI in the country.

James graduated from the College of Law in the early summer of 2006 having completed the Legal Practice Course. James began the LPC after graduating from the University of Durham with an LLB Law degree.
