Senior Assistant Solicitor & Assistant Solicitor - South Manchester

Following continued growth in demand for our services and the acquisition of several clients in the North West, we are looking to establish a new small team in south Manchester. The Work:

The work is challenging but rewarding. As well as overseeing the day-to-day management of the south Manchester office, your responsibilities will include dealing with all aspects of public service contracts and partnerships, including:

	Preparing and negotiating commercial, development and funding contracts
	Compliance with EU procurement and competitive tendering provisions in the context of major projects
	Employment issues, including TUPE and pensions obligations
	Corporate governance issues
	Liaison with relevant private finance units/public bodies
	Creation of companies, trusts and other corporate bodies
	Training and capacity-building for organisations involved in public service contracting

	Have a solid commercial experience, and in the case of the senior role, a proven track record in managing people and resources effectively
	can demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm to learn about our clients' business
	are good at fostering relationships with clients
	can work in teams, motivating and coaching their juniors and contributing to overall success
	be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take forward projects on own initiative, conscious of deadlines
	are reliable and responsive
	are commercial and innovative in the solutions they deliver to clients
	have good contacts with clients and consultants in the field we work in
	have experience in working in a pressured environment delivering high quality services
