Social Care
There is a well-established market for PFI and PPP models that provide health and
social care facilities. Increasingly this is taking place in the context of the
Government's agenda to modernise the delivery
of healthcare and social services.
We are actively supporting clients who are looking for 'joined-up' solutions to
these issues, and this is a feature of many of our current projects.
We are particularly experienced in advising on innovative models for the provision
of residential care, supporting services and extra-care housing. We have advised
on the creation of County-wide charitable joint venture companies and strategic
partnerships which provide care services across the counties of Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire
and Wiltshire.
We are also increasingly involved in advising on new joined-up models for service provision, such as NHS LIFT projects and multi-use integrated care developments,
combining residential and intermediate care with a range of primary care services
co-located on site.
The new agenda set out in the Green Paper 'Independence, Wellbeing
and Choice' and the Supporting People Programme is likely to increase the popularity
of this model.
