Housing and Accommodation
We offer advice on a range of models for housing and accommodation projects. In
housing, we are working with local authorities on the development of ALMOs (arms
length management organisations), HRA and non-HRA PFI projects, outsourcing of housing
management functions, local housing companies and stock transfers. We also advise
RSLs on bid strategy and commercial negotiations for a range of accommodation projects, including key worker, sheltered and extra care housing and student accommodation
schemes.
Recently we have advised London-based Servite Houses on an innovative partnership
project with the University of Middlesex for the provision and management of student
accommodation. With the advent of joined-up approaches to community regeneration,
we are increasingly involved in complex multi-faceted schemes, such as New Deal
for Communities programmes which bring in housing, healthcare and education components.
Our team members have also been working with public and private sector clients on
contracts for the delivery
of corporate property and business support services.
These have included PFI projects for police and courts authorities, as well as the
outsourcing of property development and management by Government departments and
local authorities.
