PFI-PPPs
We have acted on several major grouped schools PFI projects, including the largest
project in England to date with 41 schools and an NPV in excess of £1 billion. We
provide ongoing advice on signed projects, on issues such as novation, interpretation
of the contract, payment and performance management and dispute resolution. We
have
provided advice for several local authorities on the impact of the complex financial
restructuring of a market leader contractor with whom they held contracts.
Our team members have acted on over 25 schools PFI projects. We have advised on
partnership projects in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Despite problems with
the economic markets, PFI looks likely to remain an
important feature of the Government's agenda to modernise educational provision.
